Porting to Windows Vista – your hardware platform will need to be redeveloped, as the processing requirements and resources for Windows Vista are much greater than for XP Professional.
 

Porting to a non-Windows OS – your application software will need to be redeveloped as native support for Windows based applications is unlikely.
 

Porting to Linux – your application software and your hardware platform will need to be redeveloped, as native support for Windows based applications isn’t supported.
 

Removing the OS – your application will need to be redeveloped and is unlikely to operate on your existing hardware platform.
